Goodfest Jelle Mul
As Senior Marketing Manager at Patagonia, Jelle Mul leads brand marketing for EMEA, including creation and activation of all brand, environmental and product campaigns, and managing a team comprising communications, social, digital, events, content, ambassadors and paid media functions.
Based at Patagonia’s EMEA Headquarters in Amsterdam, he is responsible for engaging with, and diversifying communities, through environmental activism and outdoor sports, and engaging them with the company’s reason for being: We’re in business to save our home planet.
Jelle is a passionate surfer, snowboarder and cyclist whose work explores the intersection of sports with social, environmental, and corporate responsibility. With a former career as a cyclist, Jelle brings many of the lessons he has learnt to his management style – including the intertwined importance of trust, collaboration and empowerment.
Prior to joining Patagonia in 2017, Jelle held brand marketing roles for iconic surf, snow and skate brands that have changed the face of sports, such as O’Neill, etnies and Burton Snowboards. Jelle is a natural storyteller who uses his photography to humanise some of the most complex issues of our time and regularly contributes to publications, exhibitions and campaigns in support of issues such as local environmental challenges, inclusion in sports, and creating awareness of the need for increased responsibility in the cycling industry.
