Getting to Goodfest

Goodfest will be held at Bedruthan Hotel, perched on the hill overlooking Mawgan Porth on the stunning North Coast of Cornwall. As well as an inspiring landscape right on the doorstep, which we’ll make as full use of as possible (weather permitting), the hotel also has fantastic eco-credentials.

Accessibility

Accessibility Statement – Bedruthan Hotel & Spa

By Train

There are 2 train stations Newquay 25 minutes away and Bodmin Parkway 30 minutes away from the hotel. We would recommend calling ahead to book a taxi service for your onward journey from the train station. There is a sleeper service operated by GWR.

By Bike

Depends how fast you ride, and how quickly you want to arrive, you tell us!

By Road

Use postcode: TR8 4BU

There is parking at the hotel which is free and monitored by Parking Eye. Please log your registration plate during check in. If you drive an electric vehicle, there is Tesla Connector and Type 2 charging capability.

Car Sharing

If you are driving to us and have room for others, please post where you are driving from and to, and what dates on our Facebook page, so we can see if we can help organise car sharing. Where possible, we’re asking you to share transport. If you can not find a car share here, you can also use Pasty Connection (around Cornwall) or BlaBlaCar.

By Air

We see flying as a last resort and encourage a flight-free Goodfest. While we understand this isn’t always possible, we appreciate efforts to travel slower. Perhaps stay a little longer in Cornwall, take time to pause and reflect before returning to the busy-ness of life.

We track all travel to Goodfest and offset our event’s carbon footprint locally and responsibly. Feel free to offset your own journey in your preferred way. For our speakers, we only cover sustainable travel.

Bedruthan Hotel

Accommodation

Although you can stay at the Bedruthan Hotel and Spa with room rates organised for Goodfest attendees (just say you’re attending when booking), you may wish to camp, share a lodge, an airstream caravan or wild camp, it’s up to you and what works best. The hotel’s conference space and facilities are just our base for GF24. We’ve put together a list for you of where else you can stay in the area, so you can make the right decision for you.

Sustainability

In partnership with the venue, we’ve tried to make the event as sustainable as possible and we’ll be recording how everyone travels to and from Goodfest so we can work with B Corp Ecosphere and Leap to balance your journeys if you haven’t already done so.

Plant One Cornwall

Introducing the Plant One Emissions Calculator – your tool to balance the negative impacts of your emissions while travelling. We believe in taking responsibility for our carbon footprint, and with this calculator, you can contribute directly to the regeneration of temperate rainforests and woodlands in Cornwall.
