How to get there

By train (our favourite way):

GWR service from London Paddington to Bodmin Parkway:
1st May suggested departure time 07.30 arrives 11.55, 2nd May suggested return 17.20 arrives 21.22

Bristol to Bodmin Parkway:
1st May suggested departure time 09.12 arrives 11.55, 2nd May suggested return 17.20 arrives 20.25 (one change at Plymouth)

If you are booking a train we will provide a shuttle bus leaving Bodmin Parkway at 12.00 on 1st May and returning from the hotel at 16.30 on 2nd May.

Please confirm your space by booking a shuttle bus ticket at the same time as your festival ticket.

By road (please consider car sharing):

Mawgan Porth is approximately 3 hours drive from Bristol and 5 hours from London. From the M5, take the A30 towards Bodmin and then follow directions to postcode TR8 4BU. There is parking on site.

By air (as a last resort please consider the environment):

Flybe service from London Heathrow to Newquay: 1st May suggested departure 09.15 arrives 10.25, 2nd May suggested return 18.45 arrives 19.55

Newquay Airport is approx. 5 minute taxi ride to the Mawgan Hotel. Group shuttles can be arranged, please confirm your space when you buy your festival ticket.

Event room rates are as follows and can be booked by calling the hotel reservations team on 01637 861200 and quote ‘Goodfest’.

Single: £80.00
Non sea view double (single occupancy): £108.00
Non sea view double or twin (double occupancy): £135.00
Sea view double (single occupancy): £135.00
Sea view double (double occupancy): £170.00

Check out time will be 10am. If you wish to extend your stay over the bank holiday weekend, normal booking rates will apply from the Friday night.

Other information

Activities

The walk / yoga / surf activities will take place 8-9am on Thursday 2nd May, before the day’s proceedings start at 9.30am. We are putting a lifeguard on the beach at this time and will share safety information about the conditions the day before.

If you want to book a surf lesson or hire wetsuits & boards please contact Nick via [email protected] as soon as possible. Rates are £15 kit hire / £25 lesson (inc. kit) if booked and paid for in advance or £20 / £30 if arranged on the day. The surf shack will be open from 7.30am for you to pick up.

Dress code

Very relaxed! Please note we will be moving from the afternoon sessions on Day 1 straight outside for the evening talk and feast so bring layers as the temperature will drop as the sun sets.

Reusables

Do feel free to bring your reusable water bottle and hot drinks cup with you if you wish.

Shuttle transfers

If you have pre-booked a transfer from Bodmin Parkway or Newquay Airport these will meet the arrivals listed on the event information page – just look for a sign with the Goodfest logo and the driver will have your name.
