Getting to Newquay by Car:

Take the M5 to J31 and then the A30. Newquay is well signposted from the A30 and then Fistral beach is at the end of Headland Road, TR7 1HY, and is well signposted within the town centre.

Getting to Newquay by Bus/Coach

Newquay is part of the National Express and Megabus national coach networks. The Bus Network for the main Newquay buses is operated by First Kernow.

Newquay has a bus station just off the town centre on Manor Road, from where it is a simple walk to Fistral beach, which takes approximately 15 minutes.

Getting to Newquay by Rail:

Newquay’s train station is on Station Parade, TR7 2NF. From here it is approximately a 30-minute walk to Fistral beach, or a 10-minute drive. There is a taxi rank located at the train station, although booking is recommended.

Newquay is on the Par branch line operated by Great Western Railway, from Par station there are direct trains nationally. To reduce travel time, some people prefer to alight the train earlier down the line at Bodmin Parkway. From here it is approximately a 30-minute drive to Newquay. If this is your preferred method of travel, let us know and we shall co-ordinate some share shuttles.

Getting to Newquay by Air

Newquay Airport is at St Mawgan, Newquay TR8 4RQ The airport is approximately a 25-minute drive to Fistral beach.

Other – Birmingham, Edinburgh and Leeds Bradford

Frankfurt, Faro and Alicante

First Kernow operate the bus service between Newquay and Padstow, which stops at the Airport (Number A5). For up to date timetables and further information, please visit First Kernow. The bus stop is between the terminal and the west car park. Virtually all of First Kernow’s busses are wheelchair accessible.

Coastline Travel Cornwall is Cornwall Airport Newquay’s only official taxi provider. They are based in the arrivals hall and their desk is manned during all flights, even when delayed. There is no need to pre book your taxi, however it is advisable to do so to avoid delays during busy times and you will receive a discount for doing so. Taxi shares are also sometimes available.
